This is a weekly feature hosted by Ginger from GReads and it’s called TGIF @ GReads! Basically, Ginger uses it to do a short recap on that week’s posts as well as to pose a question to her followers. I’ll be answering that question here as well as doing my own recap of the week’s posts.
This Friday’s Question:
Giving Thanks: Which books are you most thankful for receiving from other bloggers, friends, family members, or publishers?
From Other Bloggers:
So, I got this from Lisa over at Baffled Books because somehow she managed to get two ARCs. Want to know why I’m so thankful? This was the first physical ARC that I received once I’d started blogging. It felt like a big accomplishment and a huge milestone in my blogging life. I know it sounds silly but whatever. I’m also really thankful for it because it was a totally sweet gesture and I was honoured she’d want to give it to me. Thanks Lisa!
From Friends:
So, for a long times, my friends were my biggest source of books because my mother downright refused to buy them for me because I read them too quickly then wanted another one. And I got lots of awesome books from them, including The Hunger Games Trilogy, Hush, Hush, and Clockwork Angel.
From Family:
I don’t have a picture to show you guys but the most important books I’ve ever ‘received’ from family were from my mum. They were both ‘baby’ books and they were what she used to teach me to read. I was two by the time I could read the Mickey Mouse book back to her, so either she did a damn good job or I used up all my brain power memorising that book (I personally think it’s the second option but only because my memory sucks so much now!)
From Publishers:
Most of my books from publishers are e-galleys that I get from NetGalley. And I really do appreciate them. So, I’m just going to show you pictures of a few from different publishers. These are Legacy by Cayla Kluver, Misfit by Jon Skovron, Paradise 21 by Aubrie Dionne, Slayers by C.J. Hill, Tankborn by Karen Sandler, and The Girl of Fire and Thorns.
What books are you guys most thankful for?
K, the Popinjay.
