This is a weekly feature hosted by Ginger from GReads and it’s called TGIF @ GReads! Ginger asks her followers a question, answers it, and also does a short recap on that week’s posts. I’ll be answering that question here as well as doing my own recap of the week’s posts.
This Friday’s Question:
Buy or Borrow: Where do your books that you read come from? The bookstore? The library? Do you prefer to own a book, or have it on loan?
So I’m a university student and I can’t afford to buy books because in Barbados they can get pretty expensive. Fortunately, awesome places like NetGally exist so I get most of my ARCs from there. Then I have really great friends whose parents buy them books from Amazon and bring them in so I can borrow quite a few books from there.
Then a pretty awesome blogger friend, Lisa from Adventures of 2.0 (previously known as Baffled Books), put my kindle on her account and man does she have some books. As in I will probably never read them all. Probably. Sometimes, we get some money and gift cards here we come. That usually results in a huge heap of books that we’ve wanted for a really long time. Those are good times. I’m finishing school after this semester and I can see myself having a book allowance. It’s a slightly scary though. Me with money. Me wanting books. Oh the money I will probably spend.
Where do you guys get your books?
Kris.
